Pope was my classmate when I was a 3RD year high school in Siena College Taytay. We were not really friends back then because he was somehow one of the heart throbs of the campus I can't even recall how we ended up as good friends, lol. Ever since I met him he has always been artistic, he makes anime sketches or even abstract works and as of this moment he is a Fine Art student major in Advertising from Far Eastern University. I have always been proud of him and I always encourage him to share his creations through blogging, but since he's busy in school this year I represented myself to manage his blog and he said yes immediately. He come up with his own title and username which is "Escape through Art"
This is my short interview with him (Just so you guys know, this is not a segment here on my blog, this is my first time to interview a person, this is only for the sake of my readers to know the person I am introducing right now. But who knows, I might do this for all of my favorite bloggers, comment down below if you think I should include this on my blog)
Q: Tell me a brief introduction about yourself / what you do
A: My name is Pope Romera Castro. I am 19 yrs old and a student from Far Eastern University and I am currently taking fine arts major in advertising. Other than creating artworks, my other hobbies are playing sports especially basketball and billiards. I really enjoy hanging out with my friends and listening to good music. I also love watching different kind of movies. I also create art for other people so I can earn money.
Q: What or who has been your greatest art influence?
A: My greatest art influence are the people who support and encourage me
not only with arts but in almost everything that I do.
Q:What does “being creative” mean to you?
A: For me, being creative means being able to visualize which does not only exist in reality but also on our mind. I believe that we should be passionate than emotional. Because being passionate is more than just a feeling towards an object, it is being dedicated to what you really desire.
Q: Which creative medium would you love to pursue but haven’t yet?
A: I would love to pursue more on using the brush for painting
Q: What’s your favorite piece of work that you have created?
All credit goes to: Mr. Pope Romera Castro
A: This is my favorite piece of work, my first successful still life painting that I made in our drawing fundamental class when I was in my first semester of first year college
Q: What’s the best advice you ever had on how to be more creative?
A: "Observe the things around us and envision it through creating art." -High school friend
And that would be the end of my interview with Mr. Pope Castro. I am hoping that you will support him and his blog! Tell me what do you guys think about this blog post, comment down below! <3 :)
